The hidden factor

A gas you can’t see.
A loss you can.

Ethylene can build up around stored produce, speeding up ripening and ageing in sensitive fruit and flowers.

The solution

Less ethylene.
More time for freshness.

Remove ethylene from circulating air to help slow premature ripening and ageing.

Two ways to take control

A simple filter.
Or a powered system.

A few good questions

Let’s clear
the air.

Where can the filter be used?

It is suitable for cold rooms, fresh produce storage and refrigerated transport.

How much produce can one filter tube support?

Recommended produce loads depend on ethylene production:

  • High ethylene load: approximately 250–300 kg per tube.
  • Medium ethylene load: approximately 375 kg per tube.
  • Low ethylene load: up to 500 kg per tube.

These are indicative guidelines. Actual requirements depend on the produce and operating conditions.

How long does the filter last in use?

Estimated service life is up to 90 days in cold storage at 0–5°C, or approximately 30 days at around 25°C. Actual life depends on fruit type, ripeness and ethylene levels.

How do I know when to replace the filter?

Replace the filter when the media changes colour. Check it regularly, as replacement may be needed sooner in warmer conditions or under higher ethylene loads.

How should unused filters be stored?

Keep them in a cool, dry place, away from extreme heat and direct sunlight.

What is the shelf life of an unused filter?

Approximately 24 months under proper storage conditions.

What handling precautions should I follow?

Keep the filter away from acids and flammable materials, and out of reach of children.

What delivery options are available?

Free same-day delivery is available in Dubai. Delivery to other Emirates is free within 2–3 days. International shipping costs depend on the destination.

What is inside the ethylene absorber filter?

The filter contains activated alumina impregnated with potassium permanganate (KMnO₄).
